For the EU-funded MSCA-ITN-2020 project, ATLAS Neuroengineering offers 1 position as Early Stage Researcher / PhD student starting indicatively in September 2021 for 36 months. The project is funded by the MARIE SKLODOWSKA CURIE Innovative Training Network (ITN) within the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission. The Project proposes a highly competitive training-through-research programme dedicated to the study of neuronal intra and inter-areal communication in the brains. The PhD student will develop a novel chronic deep brain probe array.
The work will be carried out with Dr. A. Aarts of ATLAS Neuroengineering in collaboration with the research group of prof. O. Paul and Dr. P. Ruther, of the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK), Faculty of Engineering. For the project we are looking for a PhD candidate with the following profile:
