FENS – Federation of European Neuroscience Societies is the main organisation for neuroscience in Europe established in 1998 and based in Brussels, Belgium. It currently represents and serves 43 national and single-discipline neuroscience societies across 33 European countries and a community of 20,000 member scientists.
FENS supports and promotes neuroscience research in Europe and beyond through its global partnerships. Its activities operate across four main impact areas: advancing neuroscience research; facilitating knowledge exchange; empowering community; and investing in the future. In addition, FENS emphasises the importance of its core values – credibility, inclusivity, and sustainability – in all its activities, helping to ensure they are representative of the diverse neuroscience community and reinforcing responsible research practices.
